Well this year has already been filled with newness. We have a new French teacher and a new Spanish teacher. They are radiating with questions as they learn the ins and outs of our school and what it means to be a teacher in PG County. Aside from my new teachers, I have inherited about 60 new students whom I have never met, making my total number of students nearly 150! Each one bring a different personality, different learning style, as well as sense of humor. I enjoy walking into my classroom each day to teach them something new. In turn they teach me things as well. Since I am learning Spanish outside of the classroom, many students speak to me in Spanish as well. We challenge each other to learn languages, as well as about the cultures that are engrafted in the languages. I welcome questions in my classroom, because that is how we learn. As the first quarter nears its end (tomorrow!), I wonder how many students will continue to use Memrise to help their studies outside of class...I love using technology whenever possible to help teach French...
